Irish football legend Johnny Fullam has died
League of Ireland football has lost one of its greatest-ever players with the sad passing today of Johnny Fullam.
He won 11 Irish caps, two League medals and holds the record with eight FAI Cup victories.
Fullam managed to cross the great divide between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, being a legend to the supporters of both clubs who he served for so long during his career.
A gifted defender, Fullam turned down a number of offers to head to England and test himself against the best over there.
But he did test himself against the very best once, playing against Pele when the great Brazilian turned up with his Santos club at Dalymount Park in 1973.

Fullam's passing will be marked by the FAI at Saturday's international against Scotland.
