Ireland star subject of bid from Premier League club after impressive Euros campaign
Jeff Hendrick is a wanted man following his excellent displays in Ireland's four Euro 2016 games.
The Dubliner is hot property in Premier League terms.
Hendrick, who played a starring role as the Boys in Green made the knockout stages of Euro 2016, has been strongly linked with a move away from Derby County to the top tier of English football.
The Rams have now rejected a bid from newly-promoted Burnley for the Ireland midfielder, according to BBC Sport.
BBC Radio Derby is reporting that the offer for Hendrick was in the region of £3million.
The 24-year-old penned a four-year deal with Derby, where he came through the youth ranks, ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.
Hendrick in action for Derby last season
Hendrick made 33 appearances for the club last season, including 22 starts, from which he scored two goals and supplied three assists.
Ireland legend Richard Dunne recently backed both Hendrick and Ireland teammate Robbie Brady to secure moves to the Premier League after both played starring roles in a thrilling Euros campaign.
