Ibrahimovic's agent rubbishes Man Utd contract story
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent has swiftly dismissed a report in the French media claiming his client has been offered a one-year contract with Manchester United.
French channel RMC Sport and their reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi 'broke' the news on Monday night that outgoing Paris Saint-Germain striker Ibrahimovic has been offered a deal to move to United.
The report also suggested Ibrahimovic was seeking assurances over United's plans with their manager Louis van Gaal before agreeing to any deal, fuelling suggestions that his old Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho could be about to take over at Old Trafford.
However, Mino Raiola, the Sweden international’s agent, has denied that any such offer has been tabled.
"In this world we have to accept some journalists use their imagination and make things up," he told Sky Sports News. “The story is not factual.”
Ibrahimovic has suggested that he already knows the identity of his next club.
"I know where I will be going next season, but I will not be saying where tonight," he told beIN Sports, after scoring twice in a 4-0 victory.
Los Angeles Galaxy, Milan and several Chinese Super League clubs have been linked with the former Barcelona and Juventus striker, but this update suggests Old Trafford is not his most likely destination.
