Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gündogan has insisted he will not rush into any decision over his future, as he continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

Sky Sports in Germany reported several weeks ago that Gündogan had agreed a deal to sign for United, with Dortmund later confirming they expected the German midfielder to leave this summer.

With just one year left on hid Dortmund contract, a summer move looks inevitable, but Gündogan has taken to Facebook to play down suggestions that a deal is already in place.

"Normally I not talk about me to media reports, certainly not on Facebook. I would like to but this time put some things your way and give you greater insight," he wrote.

"In recent weeks I, read again and again as you have, that I already have a move lined up. Today in contract negotiations here, tomorrow doing a medical check there.

"At the beginning I could chuckle still about, but by they talk about "contract poker" and I have decided to tell you something about this.

"The season 2014/15 is strictly speaking only at the end of June. I have a year contract at Borussia Dortmund and this is not delaying tactics from me.

"I'll decide as soon as possible - but only qualifying the team - after the season and Germany's important game for the European Championship."

It seemed as if Gündogan's move to United was prematurely confirmed by one of the clubs sponsors on Thursday, as betting company Bwin posted this twitter message, that was quickly deleted:

However, Gündogan's comments suggest no decision has been made on his next club and while United have expressed an interested in signing the 24-year-old, it is evident that his move to Old Trafford is far from signed and sealed.
