Gary Lineker was caught with his trousers down after his beloved Leicester City won the Premier League title last season - yet his latest tweet suggests he is ready to take his exhibitionism to a whole new level.

Lineker presented the first episode of the BBC’s Match of the Day show in nothing more than his pants last August after vowing to remove most of his clothes live on air if outsiders Leicester finished the season as champions.

The mood has changed around Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes now as they find themselves just two positions off the relegation zone after they crashed to a shock 2-1 home defeat against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

That result inspired Lineker to take to Twitter to announce the forfeit it is prepared to consider if the Foxes revive their season and retain the title.

Lineker dragged his Match of the Day colleagues Alan Shearer and Ian Wright into this alarming fantasy, which would surely break the decency rules required on British state TV at a variety of levels.
