There were two top-four clashes in tonight's SSE Airtricity League.

League leaders Dundalk made the trip up to Dublin to face fourth-place Shamrock Rovers who were looking to close the gap on their Louth rivals.

Second-place Bohs welcomed rival Dubliners St Patrick's to Dalymount Park and we're looking to draw level on points with an impressive Dundalk side.

Elsewhere, Galway entertained Limerick, Cork travelled to Drogheda and Bray travelled to Derry city to take on the Candystrikes. Mid-table Longford and struggling Sligo also met.

The results were as follows:

Bohemian FC 0 - 1 St. Patrick's Athletic

Derry City 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers

Drogheda United 1 - 2 Cork City

Galway United FC 3 - 2 Limerick

Longford Town 1 - 1 Sligo Rovers

Shamrock Rovers 2 - 2 Dundalk
