According to reports today, Paul Pogba is set to receive a simply enormous weekly wage from Manchester United.

The Mail report on the player's personal terms on the deal of the summer, which they say should be concluded for a world record fee of £100m.

They say that the French midfielder is set to earn a staggering £220,000 a week, AFTER tax, meaning Manchester United will be shelling out around £400,000 a week for the player.

That huge sum would make the 23-year old the best paid player at Old Trafford, ahead of long-standing top earner Wayne Rooney and new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Mail report that Pogba is on £72,000 a week at Juventus so that is a serious pay increase for the player, and even though the Italian club are set to offer him an improved deal to stay, there is no way they can compete with the reported offer from the Red Devils.

The player himself remains on holiday in the US and it is believed United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward continues to work on the deal with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola.

Reports yesterday said the deal was done but there has been official confirmation yet.
