There are a lot of eye-catching rumours floating around today but Arsenal reportedly being ready to spend almost £100m on two players tops the list.

The first story comes from the Mirror, who say Arsenal are once again keen on German international Julian Draxler.

The Wolfsburg man has long been linked with a move to London but with the German club now reportedly ready to sell, the Mirror say that Arsene Wenger is ready to make a swoop for the 22-year old.

The same report also says that Wenger reckons Draxler, an attacking midfielder, could play through the middle to add a bit of extra firepower to his front line.

Draxler is tied to the Bundesliga team until 2020 so they will want a fee in the region of £55m, but Wenger will surely want to negotiate that down.

Over in the Express it is suggested that Arsenal are going to buy a genuine striker in French man Alexandre Lacazette.

With a deal for Gozalo Higuain appearing unlikely, the Lyon star is the man the Express reckons Wenger will turn to to add some extra goals to his side.

The 25-year-old scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season but he did not make the French squad for Euro 2016.

An bid by Arsenal of £33m has reportedly been rejected but the Express reckon a fresh bid of £42m would do the trick.

If true, these two deals would see Arsenal splash almost £97m on just two players.
