Dortmund confirm Man United target Gundogan is not signing extension this summer
Manchester United, and a few others, will be thrilled with the news coming out of Germany today.
It has been announced this afternoon that Ilkay Gundogan, the skillful Borussia Dortmund midfielder, will not sign an extension to his current deal.
The 24-year-old is signed up until June 2016 but rather than let him go for free, it is expected this news means his sale this summer has been sanctioned by the Dortmund top brass.
The player has long been linked with a move to Manchester United and this latest news is surely music to the ears of Louis van Gaal.
However, the likes of Barcelona and Arsenal have also been named as potential suitors for the German international so a scramble for his signature has just started.
