De Gea ready to return to action at Man Utd
David De Gea has given an indication that he is looking forward to getting back to work with Manchester United, with the Old Trafford sources confirming they are pleased to have the Spanish stopper as their No.1 for this season.
The dramatic and somewhat farcical collapse of De Gea's move to the Spanish capital on transfer deadline day in Spain has left Manchester United and Real Madrid blaming each other for the failure to close out the deal.
Yet the keeper who has yet to play a Premier League game this season as he waited on his move to Real Madrid has let it be known that he is keen to get back into action with United.
De Gea is currently with the Spain squad preparing for Euro 2016 qualifiers, but he is expected to be registered in United's Champions League squad and should be between the sticks when they take on Liverpool in the Premier League on September 12th.
The recriminations over De Gea's failure to complete a move to Real Madrid rumbled on Monday night, as United responded to Real Madrid's claims that they were not to blame for the biggest non-transfer of the summer.
Now there are suggestions that De Gea and his advisers will consider signing a new contract with United, even if it includes a provision for him to move to Real Madrid next summer.
De Gea's camp have strenuously denied claims from United boss Louis van Gaal that he had declined to play in the first Premier League game of the season against Tottenham, yet his return will be a boost so long as he is fully focused on resuming his career in England.
