A message from Manchester United keeper David De Gea's showing an image of his celebrating team-mates after the win against Liverpool at Anfield yesterday has sparked a debate on Twitter.

Former players Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane are among those who have suggested dressing room photos on days when a team have not won a major trophy portray an image of a team with limited expectations, with Arsenal players often criticised for posting such images.

De Gea's post following his side's 2-1 win against Liverpool has seen some accuse United of a similar slide in ambitions.

His tweet was delivered with this message:

Such was the importance of a victory that moved United five points ahead of Liverpool in the race for for top four finish that many will argue the celebrations are justified and here are some of the messages we have received about the image today.
