PSG and Brazil footballer David Luiz has taken a vow to abstain from sex until he is married, he has revealed.

The £50 million defender posted pictures his on Instagram page on Friday which show himself being baptized in a team-mate’s swimming pool.

The ex-Chelsea man has spoken previously about his strong religious beliefs, and captioned the picture of the baptism with a quote from Corinthians.

He also wrote: “How wonderful to live with you Lord, thank You for loving me so much and take care of me! My life is yours, and I am your servant! What're always in the centre of all my decisions! I love my God! Amen”.
 
Regarding his girlfriend he added that he was "going to wait" until after the ceremony to consummate the marriage.
