Liverpool goal scoring great John Aldridge has told injury prone Daniel Sturridge that the moment has come him to banish his demons and prove he is a winner in Sunday's Capital One Cup final.

Aldo was a Wembley hero with Liverpool in a famous FA Cup final against Everton back in 1989 and now he has urged Liverpool's lead striker of 2016 to follow his lead in Sunday's showdown against Manchester City.

“After all the injuries, the rumours and denials, the accusations and the acrimony, this is the moment you have to deliver Mr Sturridge. No more excuses,” says Aldo.

“Liverpool’s lead striker has been the subject of great frustration for the club’s supporters over the last couple of seasons.

“Sturridge gets a massive opportunity to carve himself a piece a Liverpool history at Wembley today and he owes the club after all his injuries over the last two seasons.”

Ireland's rugby flops share the back page billing with Liverpool's Wembley mission, on a day when Joe Schmidt's men came up short against England in the Six Nations Championship.

Dutch goal scoring great Patrick Kluivert gives us an exclusive interview in our bumper sports pull-out (above), as he suggests his mentor Louis van Gaal may consider calling time on his troubled spell at Man Utd - if he loses the support of the players in his dressing room.

With the best coverage of the Premier League action, a full preview of the Man Utd v Arsenal match that includes a contribution from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and all the best GAA action as part of the mix, this is another bumper week of Sunday World sport.
