Dani Alves "using" Man Utd to get Barca deal
Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has insisted Brazilian full-back Dani Alves has no intention of leaving Barcelona this summer, despite repeated rumours of a move to Manchester United.
Alves' agent was quotes last month suggesting she was in talks with a rival club who were keen to sign her client and former husband, but Blanc suggested that comments were all part of "a game" being played by the 32-year-old defender and his adviser.
"Daniel Alves will not come to PSG," Blanc told BeIN Sports. "I do not think so anyway. He is out of contract but his intention is to extend with Barca.
"It is a game he is playing with his club, he's awaiting their proposal. It's nice for the press to have something to talk about, but there has been no contact that I know of."
Meanwhile, Alves has confirmed that he intends to announce his future plans next Sunday, the day after Barcelona's Champions League final against Juventus in Berlin.
“From June 7 I’ll announce my future," he stated. “My intention was not to speak, but I haven’t been respected with a lot of silly things. It’s gone too far.
“I don’t want anybody to influence my decisions. My future only depends on me.”
