Coleen Rooney goes to Twitter war on behalf of hubby Wayne
Coleen Rooney has hit out at the stream of abuse flowing in the direction of his husband Wayne, after it emerged he is set to be dropped from the England side for Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Slovenia.
Rooney was booed by a small section of England fans during Saturday’s game against Malta at Wembley, with his latest indifferent display doing little to banish the growing clamour for him to be dropped by his national team manager.
After being left out of the Manchester United line-up by Jose Mourinho last month, Rooney was assured by interim England boss Gareth Southgate that he had a future at international level.
Yet it appears that his days as a first choice starter for his country are over, with Eric Dier set to return to the England midfield in place of the team’s all-time record goal scorer Rooney.
That inspired a somewhat jubilant reaction from fans delighting in the misery of the fallen star, with Mrs Rooney clearly of the end of some unpleasant Twitter messages as she responded with these tweets.
Love the way Anyone & Everyone has to have an Opinion. Lighten up, life is short, give people a break. Some forget others have feelings too.— Coleen Rooney (@ColeenRoo) October 10, 2016
Rant over!! Just get wound up like everyone else sometimes. Have a nice day 😉😜— Coleen Rooney (@ColeenRoo) October 10, 2016
Those messages inspired some predictably heated responses from Rooney’s critics, with Coleen responding to some of her fella’s critics in a feisty manner:
@Alex94_mufc enter my mind or his or anyone close to us!! It's feelings that matter ....were not plastic, he's not plastic we are people— Coleen Rooney (@ColeenRoo) October 10, 2016
