The player Big Sam famously laughed at a few years back has had what must be a long-awaited pop back on Twitter this morning.

An incident involving then Swansea player Flores and then West Ham boss Allardyce has become an internet favourite, with Allardyce's aggressive laugh in the Spaniard's direction developing a life of its own.

The player, who now plays in Qatar for Lekhwiya SC, took to Twitter this morning to prove that three years after the infamous clip, he hasn't forgotten it.

After retweeting Marca's version of the Allardyce sting by the Telegraph, the defender followed it up with three crying laughing emojis.

He followed that up with this brilliant tweet:

The original incident happened after Flores fell to the floor after a clash with Carlton Cole.

Months later, Swansea and West Ham met again and this time Andy Carroll was sent off after clashing with the Spaniard.

In the post-match interview, Allardyce was scathing about Flores.

He told BT Sport: 'I've just had a look at it and from our point of view I can't see why Howard has decided to give him a red card.

'His arm's gone over the top of his head and while his arm's swinging round, coming from a position where both players have tangled and are coming round to correct their balance, there were players running round to obscure his (Webb's) view.

'So he can't be absolutely certain of what's happened, except that Chico Flores is over-exaggerating, which is generally the norm for him unfortunately.

'To clutch his face and roll around, I think that's had a big influence on Howard's decision, thinking that it's caught him in the face when it hasn't at all.'

If Big Sam does leave the England job, here's hoping he gets a job in Qatar.
