Liverpool and Republic of Ireland goal scoring great John Aldridge is back for another charity bet and this week, he is banking on defensive mediocrity.

Clean sheets have hardly been plentiful in the Premier League this season and Aldo is expecting more goal to flow on what promises to be a Super Sunday of action.

Everton entertain Liverpool in the Merseyside derby before Arsenal play Manchester United at Emirates Stadium this weekend and our man is expecting clean sheets to be a rare commodity.

"Premier League defences have been exposed at home and in European competitions this season," Aldo tells us.

"I expect to see plenty of goals in the two big games on Sunday and I can only hope that Liverpool score more than Everton in Merseyside derby because I cannot see the Reds keeping a clean sheet any time soon."

Aldo has been handed a free €50 bet from our friends at Paddy Power and all winning money will be handed over to Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital.

Here is Aldo's bet for this week:

€50 on both teams to score in the Everton v Liverpool and Arsenal v Man Utd games (potential winnings €134.62)
