Liverpool and Ireland goal scoring great John Aldridge got a little over confident as he backed his former club to beat Manchester United in last weekend's crunch Premier League game.

Aldo was convinced that Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool were in prime position to see off United, but a 1-0 win for Louis van Gaal's side made it a miserable weekend for all Reds.

Now our man is backing the blue half of Merseyside football to get a win this weekend, as he offers up this double in association with Paddy Power.

"I fancy Everton to beat Swansea and Arsenal are long overdue a victory against their local rivals Chelsea," Aldo says, as he looks forward to the two Sunday matches in this weekend's Premier League schedule.

"If Arsene Wenger's side are serious about winning the title, they have to look to beat teams like Chelsea, who have been nothing short of dreadful or most of this season. I expect them to get the job done at Emirates Stadium.

"That said, it has been impossible to predict Premier League matches this season, so you might be better off backing Swansea and Chelsea to win on Sunday!"

Here is Aldo's latest bet in association with Paddy Power, with all profits going to Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital:

€50 on Everton to beat Swansea and Arsenal to beat Chelsea on Sunday (potential winnings €170.00)
