Liverpool goal scoring great John Aldridge has backed Jurgen Klopp to continue the momentum that he has built up in his first few weeks as Reds boss as his side travel to Newcastle on Sunday.

A 6-1 win in their Capital One Cup quarter-final at Southampton on Wednesday night confirmed that the Liverpool revival under Klopp is gathering pace, with Aldo convinced they can keep the run going on Sunday.

"They have been to Chelsea, Man City and Southampton in the last few weeks and come away with results that no other clubs have managed this season," Aldo tells us.

"I don't want to say they are going to win by a distance at Newcastle on Sunday, but the confidence flowing through the team right now suggests they should get the win that will fuel the talk of a title challenge in 2016."

Here is Aldo's bet for this week in association with Paddy Power and all winnings will go to Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital:

€50 on Daniel Sturridge to score first and Liverpool to beat Newcastle (potential returns €392.86)
