Liverpool and Republic of Ireland goal scoring great John Aldridge was crying into his beer last Sunday as his former club lost the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City on penalties.

The failure of Jurgen Klopp's side to leave Wembley as winners meant Aldo's weekly sundayworld.com bet came up short, but he is back to try and win more money for Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital.

Aldo has turned his attentions to the two Premier League games being played on Sunday and he is going to a couple of away day wins.

"I fancy Man Utd to get a result against West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool owe Crystal Palace a beating," he tells us.

"Alan Pardew has enjoyed a little too much success against Liverpool since his took over at Palace last year and it is about time we wiped the smile off his face this weekend!"

Here is Aldo's bet for this weekend, in association with Paddy Power:

€50 on Manchester to win at West Bromwich Albion (21/20) and Liverpool to beat Crystal Palace (23/20) (return on the double is €220.38)
