Liverpool and Republic of Ireland goal scoring great John Aldridge has already banked a healthy pot of winnings from his sundayworld.com charity bets this season - and now he is back for more.

Aldo drew a blank as he backed Liverpool to beat Manchester United in the dour 0-0 draw at Anfield on Monday night, but he is hoping for better luck with this week's bet.

"I fancy Manchester City to beat Southampton on Sunday and both teams scoring in the game," confirms Aldo, who is donating all of his winnings to Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital.

"City have looked good going forward this season, but they got a hammering at Barcelona on Wednesday night and they do look a bit vulnerable at the back.

"Southampton are decent so I fancy them to give City a decent game at the Etihad Stadium."

Here is Aldo's latest bet in association with Paddy Power:

€50 on Man City to beat Southampton on Sunday and both teams to score at 15/8 (potential winnings €143.75)
