Liverpool goalscoring great John Aldridge will be biting his nails when his former club do battle with Manchester United on Monday night - but he is backing Jurgen Klopp's men to emerge victorious.

Aldo picked up another win last weekend as he predicted Ireland would be drawing with Molava at half-time and would then run out winners in their World Cup qualifier, securing another windfall for Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital.

Now our man is looking for another win that would bring a smile to his face, as he loves nothing more than a Liverpool win over their old foes Man Utd.

"They have beaten us four times in a row in the Premier League and it is time to put that right," Aldo tells us.

"I see a tight game developing on Monday night with both teams scoring. Let's be honest, Liverpool can't keep clean sheets, but they have the attacking firepower to trouble anyone.

"So I am going for a Liverpool win by the odd goal in what should be a fascinating game."

Here is Aldo's latest bet, in association with Paddy Power:

€50 on Liverpool to beat Man Utd and both teams to score at 11/4 (potential returns €187.50)
