Beat the bookies with Aldo - FA Cup final
Liverpool goal scoring great John Aldridge has not had a great week, after seeing his beloved Reds crash to defeat against Sevilla in the Europa League final in Basel.
Aldo's mood was not improved by the torrent of abuse that flowed in his direction from fans of rival clubs on Twitter, delighting in Liverpool's misery.
"A lot of fans from other clubs were sending me message on Twitter laughing at Liverpool, but they all support clubs that have had miserable seasons," Aldo tells us.
"At least Liverpool have got to two Cup Finals this season and I have seen them win more European finals than any other team in English football in my lifetime.
I've not laughed so much today, from nuggets(rats)more concerned about Lfc than their own predicaments😂😂😂😎😎😎and I'm in the sun!— John Aldridge (@Realaldo474) May 19, 2016
"It makes me laugh that fans of clubs who have no where near the history of Liverpool laugh at our expense when we lose a game, but we will be back, don't worry about that."
Aldo is hoping to have his spirits lifted by Crystal Palace in this Saturday's FA Cup final, as his final sundayworld.com bet for the English domestic season predicts a dramatic finish in their clash with Manchester United at Wembley.
After winning his sundayworld.com bet and earning another windfall for Dublin's Temple Street Children's hospital last weekend, here is his punt on the showpiece game in the English football calendar.
€50 on Crystal Palace to beat Manchester United on penalties in the FA Cup final at 10/1 (possible returns £550.00)
