Liverpool goal scoring great John Aldridge has been in high spirits this week after his beloved Reds secured their passage to the Europa League final in Basel.

Aldo was at Anfield to watch Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool see off Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final on Thursday night and is now preparing to make the trip to Switzerland for the final against Sevilla later this month.

Yet it is Premier League action back on the agenda this weekend, with Aldo backing Liverpool to get a touch of revenge on Watford on Sunday.

"The worst defeat of this season for Liverpool was their 3-0 defeat at Watford in late December," reflects Aldo,

"The team didn't turn up, put in a horrible performances and deserved to get well beaten.

"Klopp was furious and I hope the players were embarrassed by their display that day.

"I suspect Klopp will put out a strong team in the return match against Watford this weekend and Liverpool owe them a beating in return.

"The players should be on such a high after the Europa League heroics, so I'm going for a Liverpool victory."

Aldo is taking on an ambitious treble focusing on the Premier League action on Sunday, with all winnings from his Paddy Power charity bet being donated to Temple Street Children's hospital:

€50 on Liverpool to beat Watford, Spurs to beat Southampton, Man City v Arsenal to finish as a draw (potential returns €492.92)
