Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has confirmed that a decision over the future of Manchester United transfer target Pedro is imminent.

Pedro has been heavily linked with United for several weeks, with the Spanish midfielder believed to have told his bosses at the Nou Camp that he is ready to leave for Manchester.

Now Enrique has confirmed that he is expecting a conclusion to the Pedro transfer saga in the next few days.

"We have talked enough about Pedro. The solution will arrive soon," confirmed Enrique.

"The season is about to start and it's time to focus. Every competition is a challenge and we will have to see what we do and what our rival does to see who deserves the title."

With Neymar contracting mumps in recent days, Barcelona have reportedly put a halt on United's moves to sign Pedro, yet it seems increasingly likely that he will leave the Catalan club in this transfer window.

Pedro is behind Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar in the race for a starting spot in the Barca team and Enrique has been talking up the importance of one of that deadly trio ahead of his side's UEFA Super Cup clash against Europa League winners Sevilla.

"Luis Suarez had a spectacular year," he said, reflecting on the debut season of the striker signed from Liverpool last summer.

"He was very important for us and few could have matched him. He will have the same role again this season.

"I would like to keep all my players through the whole season, but we will wait to see if that is possible."
