Arsenal fans fume as Barcelona loom in Champions League knockout stages
The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by Paris Saint-Germain in London this evening.
Arsenal supporters are convinced they will land European heavyweights Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Having already qualified for the knockout stages, the Gunners needed a home victory against PSG to ensure they finished top of Group A.
However, the final result of 2-2 means that should the two sides post the same result (win, draw or lose) in their final group game, PSG will finish ahead of Arsenal due to scoring more away goals in their two group matches after a 1-1 draw in Paris.
Arsene Wenger's side went 1-0 down after Edinson Cavani converted, before an Olivier Giroud penalty and a Marco Veratti own goal saw them leading with a half hour left at the Emirates.
However, Alex Iwobi turned the ball into his own net in the 77th minute to hand PSG a point, as well as a great chance to top the group.
The final standing of Champions League group games are decided on a head-to-head basis initially, as opposed to overall goal difference.
Arsenal fans now believe they will finish second, and that they will draw Group C toppers Barcelona in the round of 16:
