Another big club join Man United in pursuit of Romelu Lukaku
Reports in the papers today suggest that Manchester United will have to fight off Chelsea in the hunt for Romelu Lukaku's services.
The Belgian striker is still only 22 but he has over 60 Premier League goals to his name from his time at West Brom and Everton, making him a hot commodity for the many clubs needing a proven striker.
Manchester United's interest in the player has been reported for a long time but today's papers claim that former club Chelsea have also joined the race for his signature.
The Mail claim that the deal that took the forward to Everton contained clauses that allow them to buy him back at a cut-price rate.
The paper reports that the Toffees would seek a staggering £65m for his services but potential performance bonuses owed to Chelsea could shave millions off the fee for the Londoners.
Despite Everton wanting to keep him, Lukaku has spoken about wanting Champions League football next season, which would require a move from Goodison.
Of course, neither Chelsea or United are guaranteed to be in Europe's premier competition next term, as it stands.
Elsewhere, the Sun claims that gareth Bale will join either Manchester City or Manchester United this summer.
Arsenal winger ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN could make a return to Southampton, with the England international's former club willing to give him the regular first-team football he craves, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Daily Telegraph adds that KIERAN GIBBS could also leave Arsenal this summer.
And finally, the Daily Mail reports Liverpool are desperately seeking a buyer for MARIO BALOTELLI, who is currently on loan with AC Milan.
