West Ham's Mark Noble takes the honour as the most fouled man in the Premier League so far this season.

The Hammers midfielder has been excellent this season, with some saying it is time for him to get an England call up, which would finally close the door on him ever playing for Ireland, for whom he is also qualified.

And it seems his fellow Premier League midfielders have also noticed his fine play, and they are taking action to stop him.

The 28-year-old is the most fouled player in the league so far, suffering 19 fouls in six games, averaging 3.2 per game.

That puts him ahead of Swansea flyer Andre Ayew, who has been fouled 18 times, or three times a game.

Aston Villa's Idrissa Gueye has been stopped illegally the same number of times as Ayew.

More celebrated names like Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez (17 fouls) and Chelsea's Eden Hazard (16 fouls) are not far behind, despite their teams somewhat stuttering starts to the season.

Last season, Hazard was the most fouled player in the league, suffering 113 fouls or just a fraction under three a game.
