Agent: Benfica midfielder to United for £45m is ‘done deal’
Manchester United have allegedly agreed to fork out £45million for Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches, according to Portuguese media outlet O Jogo.
The Daily Star report the Portugese paper have been in contact with Mendes, who has supposedly confirmed the Benfica midfielder’s exit.
The Red Devils will reportedly pay £30million up front, while a further £15million could be spent in performance-related bonuses.
The Manchester outfit were linked with a deadline day move for the 18-year-old but it failed to materialise.
Louis van Gaal’s team were said to have a £30million offer rejected by the Portuguese club late in the January transfer window.
The highly sought-after teenage midfielder has made 15 total appearances for Benfica this season, which includes two Champions league ties, scoring two goals.
