A campaign has started to get John Giles back on TV for the Scotland game
After RTE decided not to put the 'senior analyst' on the panel for the Scotland game, the campaign to bring him back has started.
It was front page news when it broke that John Giles wouldn't be involved in RTE's coverage of the upcoming, and crucial, clash with Scotland.
That is how seriously we take our football punditry in this country and the folks at the Irish Daily Star, who broke the story, want to get Gilesy back on the box.
We all love the Three Amigos of Giles, Dunphy and Brady and while Richie Sadlier is also a whip smart pundit, the 'classic' line up is essential part of the really big days for many Irish fans.
So the paper are starting a campaign to get Johnny on the panel for the Scotland clash.
All day there has been various claims as to the reason for the absence, with RTE blaming simple 'scheduling' while Herald.ie say that Giles' contracted games were up for the year but he was willing to do the game for free, so important was it to Ireland.
Whatever the reason, if you want to try and get Giles back on the box you can join the campaign below.
