Munster and Connacht have both been handed tough groups following today's Champions Cup draw, while Leinster have a seemingly more favourable draw.

Munster have been pitted against Leicester, Racing 92 and Glasgow Warriors, which of course means that Ronan O'Gara, who is the Parisians defence coach, will pit his wits against his home province this coming season.

Meanwhile, Connacht's reward for winning the Pro12 is a pool with Wasps, Toulouse and Zebre. It is by no means an easy pool but the presence of the Italian minnows will give Pat Lam hope that the westerners can progress to the quarter-finals.

Today's draw was better viewing for Leinster as they came out in Pool 4 alongside Montpellier, Saints and Castres, avoiding some of the big guns.

Ulster weren't so lucky, as they were grouped with Clermont, Exeter and Bordeaux, which gives Ireland fans the added sub-plot of seeing Paddy Jackson battle Ian Madigan, who will play with Bordeaux from next season.
