Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Arturo Vidal, after he successfully underwent a medical on Tuesday
Bayern Munich will unveil the signing of Arturo Vidal on Tuesday afternoon at 14:30GMT.
The Bundesliga champions announced last week that they had agreed a €40 million fee with Juventus and that Vidal only had to pass his medical before signing a contract.
The 28-year-old touched down in Munich on Monday evening and he successfully underwent a medical on Tuesday morning.
Bayern were in the market for a new midfielder following the departure of Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United and quickly secured a deal for the Chile international.
Vidal played a crucial part in his country Chile's Copa America success this summer, beating Argentina in the final. He was also involved in Juventus's stellar Champions League campaign, when they were closely beaten by Barcelona in this year's final.
Schalke’s Julian Draxler, Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado or Porto’s Alex Sandro are all shortlisted by Juventus to replace the Chilean.
Vidal was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer while Arsenal, who had initially hoped he would join up with fellow Chilean Alexis Sánchez at the Emirates, dropped out of the race to sign him a couple of weeks ago.
