Shefflin to retire tomorrow? Kilkenny legend Henry Shefflin is making an announcement on his future tomorrow
Kilkenny hurling legend Henry Shefflin is to make an announcement tomorrow regarding his future.
The ten-time All-Ireland medal winning Shefflin has called a Press Conference for Langtons Hotel in Kilkenny at which he is expected to say he has quitting the inter-county game he has graced since 1999.
If the 36-year-old was playing on with Kilkenny, you suspect Shefflin would simply turn up at training this week and begin to get ready for Kilkenny's Allianz League relegation battle against Clare next Sunday.
Should, Shefflin confirm that he is leaving the Black-and-Amber, his last match at Croke Park will have been last week's All-Ireland club win with Ballyhale Shamrocks, a trophy he was winning for the third time to add to those ten inter-county titles.
