Dublin football manager Jim Gavin has signed on for another two years at the helm of the All-Ireland champions.

The professional pilot took over the Dublin senior footballers in October 2012 and he has had success after success during his tenure, including three All-Irelands and four National League titles in that time.

A small statement on the Dublin GAA website reads: 'We are delighted to announce that Jim Gavin has agreed to remain as manager of the Dublin Senior Football Team for another 2 years, until the conclusion of the 2019 championship.

'Jim and all of his backroom team have already contributed so much time & hard-work to the Dublin team and we thank them all for their continued efforts.'
