Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald admitted to hospital
Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald may miss his team's All-Ireland hurling quarter-final against Galway this Sunday after he was admitted to hospital, according to reports.
Fitzgerald was transferred to hospital in Dublin this morning after checking into a clinic in Galway last night, according to a report from RTE's Marty Morrissey.
The Clare boss led his county to All-Ireland glory in 2013 after winning the championship twice as a player.
Fitzgerald previously underwent heart surgery in 2009 while he was the Waterford manager.
Clare are due to play their quarter-final against Galway at 2pm in Thurles this Sunday.
