Frustrating day for Irish rally driver
Ireland’s Craig Breen experienced a frustrating time on Day 2 of Rally Sweden but remains eighth overall in the World championship event.
“Not terrible, but not far away. It hasn’t been our day today, but we will come back stronger,” Breen tweeted. He experienced a series of minor mishaps in his Citroen RCI World rally car which slowed his progress.
He is one minute and 54 seconds behind Thierry Neuville who is leading the event in a Hyundai.
Meanwhile, Breen’s Citroen team mate Kris Meeke from Tyrone and his Kerry co-driver Paul Nagle are fourth, just 51 seconds behind the leader.
The third Citroen driver Stéphane Lefebvre is tenth.
