Conor McGregor enters the top 15 pound for pound rankings

Newly crowned UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor has entered the the pound-for-pound rankings for the first time.

McGregor knocked out Marcus Brimage on April 6th, 2013, as he continued his rapid rise up the UFC rankings and confirmed himself among the world's elite.

The Dubliner justified their belief last Saturday night with a second round KO of Chad Mendes, to become to interim featherweight champ, and officially move into the UFC’s pound for pound rankings at #14, overtaking Frankie Edgar.

His inclusion comes at the expense of former welterweight champion Johnny Hendricks, with McGregor's chief rival Jose Aldo positioned at #1.

Their much anticipated Unification title fight looks set to take place on January 2nd, 2016.
