Olympic silver medallist John Joe Nevin has made a triumphant return to the ring in New York.

In his first fight since last November, Nevin fashioned a TKO win over Mexican southpaw Victor Raul Capaceta in a baseball stadium in Coney Island.
“Another win by stoppage 4-0 wasn't the best performances but a win is a win glad to be back,” the Mullingar native tweeted afterwards.
The Mexican had never been previously been stopped but he didn’t get off his stool for the fourth round.
Nevin has now a 4-0 record in the professional ranks having made his debut on St Patrick’s Day in 2014 in Boston.
He plans a series of fights between now and Christmas as he bids to re-float his professional career.
