THE TOWER BAR,CLONES

THIS is an old but class pub. Its black exterior and magnificent stained-glass windows are attractive and the atmosphere inside was just what you'd expect in a pub of this vintage.

It was evident from the door in that this pub is cared for, and the elderly barman was ready for us as if he'd received prior notice of our arrival.

It was the swivel bar stools that swung it for us, not to mention the beautiful green leather-covered bench seating against the dark furnishings, including the small stools with red velvet tops.

The partitioned area on the left-hand side is a very nice feature of this bar.The fireplace is very attractive but they spoiled it by having fresh logs sitting there with a lit bulb underneath.

The toilets were fine, with a clean stainless steel urinal separate from the cubicle, and paper towels and a dryer provided - these toilets are well kept. A magnificent pub.
