RENDEZVOUS, SLIGO

LOCATED on Holborn Street, this little pub caught our eye but not our fancy after a brief visit. It has a small unattractive exterior and we didn't take to the interior either.

The walls are a sort of pink with plenty of red brick throughout the building and loads of bench seating. The barman was ever so friendly and he certainly knew how to pull porter.

We observed the solid-fuel stove with those ugly disgusting enamel American signs on the wall. We have always been at a loss as to why people put those signs up in pubs.

The stool tops are showing their age and could be recovered.

The pub provides darts and pool and thankfully, the pool table is away from the main bar on a raised area.

The toilet cubicle was clean and so too was the stainless steel urinals but it was a pub, that in our opinion, has little character and we just couldn't take to it.
