WE found this a very bright, modern and lively premises for a small village and the punters, all young, were very friendly. The barman was very much on his toes from the moment we stepped in keeping the crowd well watered.
We have never seen anything to resemble the first section of this bar with its brown leather sofas. Some of the Commandos said it was like a sittingroom while the Old Commando said it resembled a furniture showroom.
The couches are laid out opposite a most attractive cut-stone fireplace. Further in there is a pool table but well away from the cut-stone counter area and it was in full use when we called.
There is also a big screen in this area. We thought the counter stools were very comfortable. The bar was well stocked.
The toilet cubicle was clean, as were the three urinals and two sinks. There was a paper dispenser and a dryer.
