Young mum dies after horror crash while eldest child in 'serious condition'
A YOUNG mother has died after a road crash, while one of her children is understood to be in a serious condition in hospital.
Gardai in Meath have confirmed that the woman has passed away after she was injured in a collision yesterday afternoon at Leggagh, Castletown, Navan.
She was travelling with her two children when they were involved in a two-vehicle collision on the Kilberry to Nobber (R162) road at 1pm on Thursday.
The 26-year-old woman, from Co Meath, passed away in the Intensive Care Unit of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda earlier this morning.
Her eldest child is said to be in a serious condition in Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin.
