Police are investigating the sudden death of a 25-year-old man, whose body was discovered outside a nightclub yesterday morning.

Conall Kerrigan was discovered in the area of Bank Place of Derry around 10.20am, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Police believe Conall had been in the Metro Bar on Saturday evening and left at around 2am on Sunday morning.

Detective Inspector Conor McStravick is appealing for anyone who seen Conall after he left the Metro bar or anyone who witnessed any form of altercation on the walls close to Millennium Forum during the early hours of Sunday morning to contact Detectives in Strand Road.

The death is being treated as unexplained at this time.

Just before his body was discovered an appeal for information was launched through the ‘Missing People Northern Ireland’ Facebook page.

The appeal page stated: “The family of a 25-year-old man who has gone missing are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare.

“Conall Kerrigan, from Glack in Co Derry, was last seen leaving a city centre bar in Derry in the early hours of this morning.

“He was in the company of a couple around his own age.”
