Young man killed in early morning crash
A man in his 20s has been killed in a road crash in Co Laois in the early hours of this morning.
Gardai at Portlaoise are investigating the single vehicle incident that occurred at Kilmullen, Portarlington at approximately 3.50am.
A 22 year old male driver was killed when the car he was driving collided with a wall.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
The stretch of road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Two other motorists died in separate road incidents and a female pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run over the bank holiday weekend.
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) warned motorists to be vigilant over the bank holiday weekend.
On the August bank holiday weekend last year, there were 17 people seriously injured in crashes and two people were killed.
