Young boy dies after going into 'cardiac arrest' at McDonald's restaurant in Dublin
A 10-year-old boy has died after going into cardiac arrest in a McDonald's restaurant in Dublin.
Maleek Lawal fell ill in the branch in the Ilac centre on Dublin's Parnell Street last Friday, October 7, according to Independent.ie.
The youngster, who was with his mother at the time, suffered a suspected cardiac arrest at 6.15pm.
He was taken by ambulance to Temple Street Hospital where he subsequently died.
Dublin Fire Brigade paramedics and gardai attended the scene.
Gardaí from Dublin's Store Street are now investigating the incident for the purposes of preparing a report for the Dublin Coroner's Court.
A post-mortem was carried out on the boy.
