Woman who had ingested €120k of cocaine pellets stopped at Dublin Airport

Revenue officers seized 1.7kgs of cocaine with an estimated street value of almost €120,000 at Dublin Airport.

The cocaine was in the form of 100 pellets that had been ingested by a 44-year-old woman from Guyana who was stopped on Tuesday.

The pellets were seized by Revenue and the woman, who was arrested by Gardaí, was detained at Ballymun Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are continuing.
