Woman threatened by men with gun in east Belfast

A woman aged in her 30s has been threatened by two men, one of whom was carrying a gun, in East Belfast.

Two men came to the door of a property on the Holywood Road in the evening, assaulting a 20-year-old man and threatening the woman with a firearm.

The incident happened just before 7.30pm,

Both men had scarves over their faces and one was carrying a rucksack around his neck. 

The PSNI's Mary White said: “I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
