A woman has made a statement to Gardai after receiving a head wound at an anti-water charges protest today.

The incident occurred at the Fingal County Council's offices in Swords earlier today. 

Several clips were uploaded to the Dublin Says No Facebook page following the incident. 

The woman was among a group of several protesters who had lodged themselves within the revolving doors of the offices.

Gardai say they were trying to gain access to the building. During the attempt to remove the protesters shattering glass is heard.

The footage doesn't capture the incident, but the woman the woman is seen emerging with a fairly serious looking head wound in a separate clip. 

A separate image posted to the Facebook page shows an ambulance at the scene which treated the woman.

She was treated at the scene for what Gardai said were "minor injuries". 

Gardai confirmed the incident is being investigated.
