Gardai have arrested a woman as part of their investigation into the murder of dissident Vincent Ryan.

The woman, aged in her early 20s, was arrested by officers earlier today.

She is being detained at Finglas garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

She becomes the fifth person arrested as part of the investigation - two men and one woman remain in custody.

The 25-year-old was gunned down as he sat in a car on McKee Road, Finglas, north Dublin on February 29 -- four years on from the murder of his brother Alan in a feud.

The white Volkswagen Golf had been parked outside a house where his girlfriend was with his baby daughter Phoenix.

He was buried two weeks ago after a large funeral in his native Donaghmede.

Gardai have renewed their appeal for anyone with information on the murder to contact Finglas garda station on 01-666 7500 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
