A female student, who appeared to spend the night with Olympic legend Usain Bolt, is the widow of a Brazilian drug lord called Diná Terror.

Pictures have surfaced of the Jamaican sprinter (30), who won three gold medals at the games, purportedly showing him in bed with Jady Duarte, a university student he is said to have met in a nightclub in Rio.

Ms Duarte, 20, shared pictures of the topless athlete on WhatsApp.

According to police, Ms Duarte's ex Douglas Donato Pereira - known as  Diná Terror - was responsible for the murder of a teenage girl in 2014 and was reported as being a 'major player' in the narcotics trade at the Faz Quem Quer slum in Rio de Janeiro.

He was shot dead by police in March of this year.

Bolt is in a two-year relationship with Kasi Bennett and earlier this year it was reported they plan to wed.

Duarte posted the images on WhatsApp of Bolt with him around her and in another, the Olympic legend is nuzzling her neck shirtless.

She said she didn't know who the athlete was until after her friends told her.

And Duarte said she is now "dying of shame" after the pictures have been seen by millions online.

"[The impact] is very negative," she told Brazilian website EXTRA. "I never wanted to be famous, I'm dying of shame."

Meanwhile, Bolt has previously said that cultural differences means he approaches fidelity differently.

"Jamaican culture is different, when you look at women and men having more than one [partner], it's different," he said.

"I've noticed that in Britain, every famous person, as soon as they get famous, they have to get married - like, it's a rule. And I'm like, that's not fair!"

"It's hard for you to stay with one woman because girls are literally just throwing themselves at you," he said.

"And that's unfair to us guys - it's hard to say no, you know what I mean?"
